About the Journal

Approach and scope
The Security and Land Power Journal is an academic research publication of the Peruvian Army Center for Strategic Studies (CEEEP) which aims to address the analysis, discussion, and generation of ideas in aspects related to Security, Defense, and the Military Profession. It publishes research articles - in Spanish and English - both unpublished and original that focus on the four fields of study of the Peruvian Army Center for Strategic Studies (CEEEP): (1) Strategic evaluation (2) Strategic anticipation (3) Strategic Art and Land Power, and (4) Strategic leadership and Institutional management. The articles are evaluated by a double-blind peer review.

The target audience of the Security and Land Power Journal is mainly: (1) Security and Defense investigators, (2) Professionals in Military Sciences as well as (3) Academics and Officials interested in Security Issues and National Defense.

Frequency
The Security and Land Power Journal is published quarterly, both in its physical format and its digital version during the first month of the corresponding publication period. In that sense, the first period of publication of the journal covers from January to March, the second from April to June, the third from July to September, and the fourth from October to December.

Waiting list
The article whose publication has been approved after the peer review process must be published in the issue immediately after the moment of such approval. However, if the number of articles to be published in that period has already been completed, the article will enter a waiting list and must be published in one of the following two issues of the journal. Otherwise, the author will have the right to withdraw the article and submit it to another journal or academic publication. The publication priority of the articles will be established based on the date in which they were approved.

Academic norm
The Security and Land Power Journal, following international standards, tries to avoid academic inbreeding in the articles it publishes. Therefore, it will only publish - at most - 50% of articles that have as an author or co-author someone whose main institutional affiliation is the Peruvian Army, considering the total number of articles to be published in the journal.
